Blueridge Guitars
Blueridge guitars are reminiscent of the fine guitars built in the early
1900s. In the 1920's, The American fretted instrument industry was entering a Golden
Era of craftsmanship and quality, producing many of the fine instruments
destined to become fabulously expensive collector's items of today. Factories
were partially mechanized in their construction techniques but every
manufacturer still utilized a great deal of artistic handwork, a far cry from
the completely computerized operations of today!. In those times, the best
instruments were not overbuilt~they were light and resonant. Meticulous
attention to detail was the norm and the ornate pearl inlay was the rule rather
than the exception.
One look at any of our new Blueridge guitars will tell you that the craftsmanship, style and quality of the Golden Era are still alive and plainly evident in every guitar we make. The intricate pearl inlays, the careful workmanship and professional tone quality of each Blueridge ensure these fine guitars will be the collectors items of the future, as sure as they are the benchmarks of quality and affordability today.
Blueridge guitars exemplify every aspect of old-time quality, craftsmanship and tone, yet the prices asked for them are notably "old-fashioned" too, far lower than most of today's similar offerings and, in fact, far closer to the original moderate prices of the legendary collectors items when they were new! Each Blue ridge is made in much the same manner as its classic counterpart was made in the 1920s. Artistic handwork is evident in the well shaped, slim necks and the hand carved, parabolic "forward-X" bracing pattern that guarantees the utmost in tone and volume. Nowhere is the similarity more evident than in the exquisite pearl inlaid designs in the pegheads and fingerboards of each Blueridge. These original designs look like they came from the 1920's. they perfectly capture the style and spirit of the Golden Era, and you will not find inlays of this quality on any current guitar at anywhere near this affordable price. As with the finest guitars of the Golden Era, each Blueridge has the traditional dovetail neck/body joint and each model's neck features and adjustable truss rod. The Kluson style enclosed tuning machines with "butterbean" buttons, in either gold or nickel, have the perfect vintage look, yet offer modern precision and feel. These fine Blueridge guitars are certainly throwbacks to an earlier era when craftsmanship and quality reigned supreme.
