fool you. A braced, solid tonewood top with a solid mahogany neck, back, and
sides gives this cool little guitar a surprisingly rich and loud tone. Built to
withstand the rigors of camping, hiking, and off-road traveling. Includes
high-quality chrome-enclosed tuners and a unique bridge on the nylon string
version that accepts either plain or ball-end classic strings. Weighs less than
2-1/2 lbs. Includes a Martin woven strap and gig bag ($29 value), and carries a
1-year limited warranty.
It features a solid spruce top on a wood composite laminate mahogany body. Martin’s patented neck mortise and unique DX bracing pattern give it the same tone as a much more expensive Martin. Made in the U.S

The D-45 is the most ornately appointed guitar in the Martin line. More than 900 individual pieces of abalone pearl are inlaid into the bindings of the top, sides, back, and rosette. Large ''C.F. Martin'' abalone letters adorn the headstock; abalone hexagon inlays are used as position markers on the bound ebony fingerboard. Since it's introduction in 1931, the Martin D-28 has remained the standard by which all large-bodied steel-stringed guitars are measured. The D-28 utilizes solid East Indian rosewood for the back and sides, and genuine ebony for the fingerboard and bridge. With it's rich, resonant warmth, the D-28 is particularly well-suited to bluegrass and country music styles requiring loud, powerful rhythm accompaniment.
Traditional style dreadnought features a rosewood fingerboard and bridge with black binding and pickguard plus chrome-enclosed tuning machines. Solid mahogany back and sides combine with large a dreadnought size to produce a loud, clear treble and a warm, moderate bass.
